Enrico’s Free Drinks – Thaipusam

Enrico’s proudly supports Thaipusam by providing free drinks to devotees, offering comfort and
refreshment to those participating in this significant religious celebration.

About the Event

Enrico’s proudly distributes free drinks to devotees during the annual Thaipusam festival in Penang
as part of its commitment to community service and cultural traditions. The company sets up a
dedicated refreshment stall (thaneer panthal) near the exit of Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani
Temple (Hill Top Temple), welcoming devotees after their pilgrimage.

The initiative distributes approximately 200,000 cups of free drinks, including traditional moru
(spiced buttermilk), MyKaapie coffee, and Hi Top Tea, served hot or cold. The distribution
traditionally runs for 36 hours non-stop, beginning at around 6:00 PM on the evening before
Thaipusam and continuing until approximately 10:00 PM on the festival day. With the support of
dedicated volunteers, Enrico’s ensures devotees receive drinks throughout the celebration, sharing
the spirit of generosity and togetherness with the community.
